Development of a method for building life cycle analysis at an early design phase - Implementation in a tool - Sensitivity and uncertainty of such a method in comparison to detailed LCA software

Abstract:

The thesis presents in detail the various steps in the development of an early design phase method for the LCA of buildings. After an introduction concerning LCA and building LCA, emphasis is put on the realisation of the geometrical model, later implemented in the method and in the developed tool Stilcab. Moreover, the results of the sensitivity analysis are explained, as well as its implementation in the tool. In the final section, the method is validated with two uncertainty analysis.
