Development of a Virtualized Computing Environment for LHC Analyses on Standard Batch Systems and Measurement of the Inclusive Jet Cross-Section with the CMS experiment at 7 TeV

Abstract:
A measurement of the double-differential inclusive jet cross section with the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at a center-of-mass collision energy of 7 TeV is presented.
The LHC experiments have very precisely defined prerequisites for the analysis computing environment. Therefore a dynamic virtualization system of computing worker nodes was developed and is presented in detail.
