Investigation and Modeling of Heterogeneously Catalyzed G/L Reactions in Microreactors

Abstract:
Missing physical parameters such as the static contact angle of hydrogen/nitrobenzene on stainless steel and on a carbon surface was measured using a static droplet method. Influence of surface tension, geometrical properties, and static contact angle on the chosen two phase flow have been explored in a microchannel using VOF method. One of the main goals of this work was to the model mass transfer from gas to liquid phase while coupling this with the volume change in the gas phase.
