Flying Augmented Reality: Supporting planning and simulation analysis by combining mixed reality methods using multicopter and pattern recognition

Abstract:

The article presents an immersive tool to support early planning stages in building construction and town planning. It combines concepts of augmented reality technologies with radio controlled multicopter aircrafts to visualize virtual information in direct context of the build environment within a highly flexible operating range.
