Girls´Day 2015 – Mit Computersimulationen die Welt besser verstehen

Grindler, Sabine

Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

On this day, students as of Grade 5 could get an insight into the fields of activity of female scientists at KIT. To eliminate fears of contact with the natural sciences and to delve into the fascinating words of science was in the foreground. To become acquainted with the professional perspectives in science and technology, three physicists from the SCC reported about their career development and their current field of work. How the use of computer simulation can contribute to the improvement of energy efficiency and heightened safety for power plants and how the use of emission-free motors can have an effect on the reduction of the environmental load was explained to the girls in an illustrative and comprehensible way. ... mehr
