Energy Spectrum and Mass Composition of Cosmic Rays and How to Publish Air-Shower Data

Abstract (englisch):
By a combined analysis of the KASCADE and KASCADE-Grande data the energy spectrum and mass composition of cosmic rays has been reconstructed, where a distinction of five primary mass groups has become feasible. However, the hadronic interaction models, used to interpret the measurements, differ from data, which is attributed to an insufficient description of the muonic component. In addition, the KASCADE Cosmic ray Data Centre (KCDC) for a public usage of the data has been developed.
