Abstract (englisch):

Knowing the thermal state of a Li-ion cell with respect to safety considerations is an important prerequisite for the implementation into Battery Management Systems. For this the detailed knowledge and corresponding mathematical modeling of possible physical, electrochemical and chemical influences is needed. In this talk an overview of mathematical models from fully physical models to simplified models suitable for the implementation in Battery Management Systems will be discussed and simulation results will be shown. Furthermore a classification of the state of a Li-ion cell with respect to temperature, internal pressure and cell voltage will be derived from simulations.
