Disinfection by-products and the application potential of nanofiltration in swimming pool water treatment

Abstract: The objective of the dissertation is to investigate the behavior of disinfection by-products (DBP) in swimming pool water and to evaluate the application potential of nanofiltration (NF) in swimming pool water treatment regarding elimination of DBP. NF showed a promising application potential in swimming pool water treatment. The firsthand experiences provided the unique information for the fundamental understanding of the DBP formation and the performance of NF membranes in swimming pool water.
