Waveguide-Integrated Light-Emitting Carbon Nanotubes as Classical and Non-Classical Light Source

Khasminskaya, Svetlana

Abstract:

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) were successfully integrated into nanophotonic circuits. Electrically excited semiconducting CNTs can serve as classical and quantum emitter. Dielectrophoretically deposited CNTs were used as waveguide-integrated electrically driven light sources with narrow-line emission profile. The optical properties were tuned by pre-sorting of CNT suspensions before the deposition and can be additionally narrowed by photonic circuit design.
