Albedo Enhancement via Brightening of Stratocumulus Clouds as Climate Engineering Method
Abstract:
In dieser Arbeit werden die Auswirkungen des künstlichen Impfens von niedrigen marinen Grenzschichtwolken im Rahmen des "Climate Engineering" untersucht. Die Modellstudie beleuchtet den Einfluss von zusätzlich emittierten Seesalzpartikeln auf die optischen Eigenschaften von Stratocumulus Wolken und den daraus resultierenden Einfluss auf die Strahlung.
Abstract (englisch):
In this work the impact of seeding low-level marine boundary clouds is investigated in the framework of "Climate Engineering". The model study highlights the impact of additional added sea salt aerosols on optical properties of stratocumulus clouds and its consequences on radiation.
