Untersuchung der Mikroflotation als biotechnologisches Trennverfahren

Gulden, Susanne Jolan

Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

This dissertation deals with flotation and its application potential as a solid-liquid separation step in the biotechnological downstream process (DSP). The functional principle of flotation is described in simplified form: For biomass separation, air bubbles are introduced into a flotation cell. There they rise due to their lower density compared to the fermentation medium. Biomass separation takes place when in the fermentation broth suspended individual cells or biomass flocs adsorb to a bubble surface and float. A (stable) foam forms on the liquid surface of the flotation cell in which the biomass is concentrated. ... mehr
