Laser processing of energy storage materials for pushing lithium-ion battery performances beyond state-of-the-art

Abstract:

Laser technologies so far introduced in battery manufacturing have no impact on performances. In this work, laser structuring of electrode materials was studied for
substantial improvement of lithium-ion battery lifetime, highrate capability, and energy density.
