Interventionspolitk. Aus Irrtümern lernen?

Emma Sky, OBE, Dozentin für Nahost-Politik am Yale Jackson Institute für Global Affairs und Direktorin des Stipendienprogramms Yale World Fellows, wurde 2003 als politische Beraterin in das Krisengebiet des Iraks geschickt, um dort beim Wiederaufbau zu helfen. Im Vortrag spricht Sky von ihrer Zeit im Irak, ihrer Vermittlungsposition und ihrer Meinung, dass der Irakkrieg den "Katalysator für das kollektive Versagen" im Syrien-Konflikt darstellt.

Der Vortrag fand anlässlich der 21. Karlsruher Gespräche des ZAK | Zentrum für Angewandte Kulturwissenschaft und Studium Generale am Samstag, 4. März 2017, in der IHK Karlsruhe statt.

Emma Sky, OBE, lecturer on Middle East politics at the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and director of Yale University's World Fellows program, was sent as political advisor to Iraq in 2003 to help with the reconstruction. In this speech, Sky reports on her time in Iraq and her role as mediator. She considers the Iraq war to be the catalyst for the collective failure regarding the Syria conflict.
