Mikromechanische Charakterisierung multifunktionaler NIPU-Materialien und NIPU-(Nano)Komposite

Weyand, Stephan

Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

Climate change and the associated need to reduce CO$_{2}$ emissions, the impending scarcity of fossil resources, and increased consumer awareness of the environment are giving new impetus to plastics development. The trend is moving away from a fossil-based raw material basis towards “green” and climate-neutral products and processes with a reduced carbon footprint.

In terms of sustainable development, isocyanate-free polyurethane chemistry provides elegant access to carbon dioxide-neutral materials. Although the synthesis of so called non-isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPU) by the curing of polyfunctional cyclic carbonates with aliphatic amines has long been known, it has now become more relevant due to the current requirements and the search for greener products. ... mehr
