Abstract (englisch):

An ozone assessment service (O3as) is being developed within the European Open Science Cloud-Synergy (EOSC-Synergy) project to produce plots of trends for ozone recovery investigations from chemistry-climate model data. EOSC-Synergy is a project that provides services designed to extend the use of the EOSC.
O3as provides access to a number of beforehand prepared chemistry-climate model projections. The projections are normalized using the SBUV Merged Ozone Data Set (MOD), with a reference year, usually 1980, to make the different model realisations comparable and to make ozone recovery estimations meaningful. This service is meant for potential use in the quadrennial Global Assessment of Ozone Depletion, which will be published in 2022.
The service is provided via a web application or directly via an O3as REST API call. In order to offer fast web access to the relevant chemistry-climate model data, the original datasets located on the KIT Large Scale Data Facility (LSDF) are reduced in-advance to the parameters of interest. This reduction process runs on a high-performance cluster (HPC) where the original data are also homogenized and standardized. ... mehr
