Abstract:
Der Autor dieses Blogbeitrags beobachtete im Winter 2012 ein außergewöhnliches Phänomen, bei dem der Étang de Leucate in der mediterranen Region teilweise gefror und das dazu führte, dass Packeis den Hafen von Port Leucate blockierte. Der Autor diskutiert die Auswirkungen des kalten Wetters in Europa und Nordafrika und hebt die Gefahren hervor, die es für die Gesellschaft birgt. Der Beitrag enthält Fotografien des Packeises in Port Leucate.

The author of this blog post witnessed an exceptional phenomenon in the winter of 2012, where the Etang de Leucate in the Mediterranean region partially froze over, causing pack ice to block the harbor of Port Leucate. The author discusses the impact of the cold weather across Europe and North Africa and highlights the dangers it poses to society. The post includes photographs of the pack ice in Port Leucate.
