Abstract:

En este trabajo se estudió la cinética de catalizadores Cu/TiO2 promovidos por CeO2 para la síntesis de metanol a partir de CO2 e H2 a 30 bar. Se modificaron las condiciones de presión parcial, temperatura y el contenido de promotor para nCe/(nCu+nCe) entre 0 y 0.60. Se derivó un modelo macrocinético mediante la secuencia de pasos elementales propuesta a partir de análisis DFT por otros autores. Se observó que tanto la conversión, la selectividad y la velocidad de reacción hacia metanol aumentan con el contenido de promotor, pero el efecto es menos importante para fracciones de CeO2 superiores a 0.3. ... mehr

Abstract (englisch):

In this work, the kinetics of Cu/TiO2 catalysts promoted by CeO2 for methanol synthesis from CO2 and H2 at 30 bar was studied. The conditions of partial pressure, temperature and promoter content for nCe/(nCu+nCe) between 0 and 0.60 were modified. A macrokinetic model was derived using the sequence of elementary steps proposed from DFT analysis by other authors. It was observed that both the conversion, selectivity and rate of reaction towards methanol increased with the promoter content, but the effect is less important for CeO2 fractions higher than 0.3. Through the analysis of the apparent activation energies, it was confirmed that the reaction is sensitive to the structure of the catalyst, and it was observed that the effect generated by the promoter is not the same in the whole range of studied conditions. ... mehr
