Abstract:
Metadata management is an important aspect of scientific research, playing a key role in enhancing discoverability, accessibility, and reproducibility of research data.
Effective metadata management practices involve different aspects aligned with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) principles: the implementation of metadata schema, the adoption of controlled vocabularies, the assignment of unique identifiers, the necessity of versioning and provenance tracking, to name some.
This talk provides a comprehensive overview of metadata management strategies within the context of scientific research.
