Abstract:

The simulations in the KIT-KLIWA Ensemble were performed with COSMO_CLM_5.0_clm7. The data contain the simulation output of 5min precipitation (TOT_PREC), and daily maximum temperature (TMAX_2M). These are results of the 3rd nest of a 3-nest approach (50km->7km->2.8km). The 3rd nest domain is a rotated 0.025° grid covering Southern Germany/Alps, with deep convection switched off. The data are provided for a sample grid point in the center of the simulation domain. The sample point has the coordinates 50°N, 10°E. The simulation covers the period 1971-2005 (historical) and 2006-2100 (rcp8.5). The driving data are CMIP5 MPI-M-MPI-ESM-LR, historical and rcp8.5, r1i1p1. Further information on the simulation setup can be found in Hundhausen, M., Feldmann, H., Laube, N., & Pinto, J. G. (2023): Future heat extremes and impacts in a convection-permitting climate ensemble over Germany. Natural Hazards and Earth System Sciences, doi: https://doi.org/10.5194/nhess-23-2873-2023.
