Abstract (englisch):

The muEDM experiment aims to measure the electrical dipole moment of muons. For this purpose muons are passing through a muon trap. Thereby, an anti Helmholtz coil pair is used to change the momentum of the muons. In order for the coil pair to create the magnetic field needed for the correct momentum change, an aperiodically damped current pulse is needed. Parasitic effectslike the generator inductance can result in oscillations in the pulse which should be avoided. Therefore, a Marx , generator with controlled impedance and damping elements is under investigation. The behavior of a generator model with an inductive load and with delay regarding the stages' switching times were investigated.
