In-situ micropillar compression test dataset

Abstract:

This dataset consists of 19 in situ SEM micro-pillar compression results from the manuscript: Local plastic deformation in the vicinity of topologically close-packed phases in a Ni-based single crystal superalloy (DOI: 10.1016/j.matdes.2025.113600).

The data is categorized into two groups: exposed and unexposed. Exposed samples contain a few topologically close-packed (TCP) precipitates within the pillar, while unexposed samples exhibit only the typical γ/γ’ microstructure.

The CSV files include two columns: engineering strain and engineering stress, normalized by the pillars’ top diameter and height.
