Abstract (englisch):

The introduction of 800 V electric vehicles on the market creates the need for universal chargers that can interface electric vehicles with different battery voltages. In particular, this paper focuses on DC-DC converters for DC fast charging stations with a wide output voltage range to match the requirements of both 400 V and 800 V electric vehicles. A comparative analysis of two emerging topologies and a traditional dual active bridge has been conducted to evaluate the efficiency of these converters over an output voltage range of 200–1000 V. This study includes an assessment based on two different charging profiles for electric vehicles, specifically targeting 400 V and 800 V battery systems.
