Tire’s force transmission characteristic on dry asphalt measured at the inner drum test bench of KIT

Abstract:

The data set contains the measured data and the analysis of tire measurements with regard to the force transmission behaviour in lateral and longitudinal direction, in particular the lateral and longitudinal force transmission of a tire on a dry asphalt road surface.

The recorded measurement data was then transformed from the original measurement coordinate system (TYDEX C) into two vehicle-related coordinate systems (TYDEX H and W). Based on the classified time series data, characteristic curves were created for the tested operating points with regard to lateral and longitudinal force transmission.

Additionally, a separate folder contains a driving cycle with a slalom maneuver of a vehicle for the front left and right wheels, generated from a vehicle dynamics simulation.
