The code below presents the numerical experiment supporting the findings of the manuscript's case study, focusing on surgical ward healthcare service resilience. The code is written in a Jupyter notebook. It has the following building blocks:

It has the following building blocks:

  1. The queueing network simulation
  2. The performance assessment, and
  3. The resilience evaluation encompasses all four commonly used indicators, as well as the newly proposed healthcare resilience indicator.

The notebook already includes the data, the code, and an example output. If the reviewer wishes to change the policy, they can easily adjust the variable policy in the 2nd code snippet to "1", "2", or "3".
