Abstract:

The production of laser-structured electrodes and the demonstration of the benefits of the 3D-battery concept are currently at the laboratory level. The study presented focuses on the upscaling of the laser structuring of electrodes for commercial relevant cell formats. High power GHz-burst ablation of electrodes is evaluated in terms of processing quality, and the continuous roll-to-roll structuring of several meters of a commercial LFP electrode is demonstrated.
