Abstract:

Radar tags enable the separation of objects of interest while distinguishing them from the environment. The Doppler tag, designed for unique identification and high-accuracy range estimation, exploits an artificial Doppler shift to achieve effective separation, making its behavior under motion particularly interesting. This work evaluates the tag performance with respect to identification and the estimation of range and velocity. Results show that both identification and range error remain unaffected by the movement-induced Doppler shift, while velocity is estimated accurately. This robustness confirms the Doppler tag as a promising solution for dynamic scenarios such as tracking and autonomous navigation.
