Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

Group-IV color centers in diamond are promising platforms for quantum-network nodes because they combine optically addressable electronic states with spin degrees of freedom in a solid-state host. Their inversion symmetry can lead to narrow and stable optical transitions, which are essential for spin-photon interfaces. For quantum-network applications, however, an optical interface alone is not sufficient. The system must also allow coherent spin control, provide access to long-lived quantum memories, and remain compatible with cryogenic operation.

In this thesis, we investigate the tin-vacancy (SnV) center in diamond as a spin-qubit platform, focusing on coherent control of the SnV electron spin and of a proximal $^{13}$C nuclear spin. ... mehr
