Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

Digitalization in catalysis research is a challenging endeavor due to its interdisciplinary scope, encompassing synthesis, characterization, and modeling. This thesis focuses on the development and application of digital tools to accelerate the workflows followed in numerical modeling. In particular, the development of microkinetic models is a crucial step in rational catalyst design and in gaining deeper insights from the reaction mechanism. However, the high-dimensionality of these models often poses a significant bottleneck in their development.

To address this, the work presented in this thesis introduces an optimization tool that integrates automation and established gradient-free optimization algorithms to accelerate the modeling process. ... mehr
