Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

In addition to progressively scarce spectral resources and convergent hardware development, the increasing demand for higher data rates in communications systems and the need for coordinating non-collocated users in modern radar systems have driven efforts towards the development of integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) systems. In this context, an increasing number of research efforts towards enabling the use of a single waveform for simultaneously performing radar sensing and communications has been reported in the literature. While a significant number of studies addresses the issues related to waveform design, countermeasures to hardware impairments, and distributed sensing, a systematic analysis of ISAC systems both exposing and discussing details related to the mentioned challenges, besides proposing solutions and demonstrating them via meaningful simulations and verification measurements has yet not been reported. ... mehr
