BIONEXT Guidance to Facilitate Transformative Change in Europe

BIONEXT is a Horizon Europe project that promotes transformative change by advancing knowledge, practical tools, and guidance to support the integration of biodiversity as a fundamental consideration in cross-sectoral policymaking. This specific deliverable, D4.2 (Guidance to facilitate transformative change in Europe), provides a structured framework to facilitate systemic change towards a nature-positive and sustainable future in Europe. The scope of this Guidance encompasses the "biodiversity nexus," examining the critical interlinkages between biodiversity, food, water, health, energy, transport and climate, alongside considerations for transformative change. It presents evidence-based policy options that go beyond incremental adjustments by addressing the root causes of biodiversity loss and transforming how natural systems and human well-being are governed, valued and managed.
