For the electron beam of GESA II material-processing facility, energy distributions were measured with newly
developed Soffron60 diagnostic set-up. The analyzer uses electrostatic cut-off scheme with varied inner magnetic
field and allows to determine both electron energy axial component and its full-value spectrum. General parameters
of the measured spectra were found to be in good agreement with predictions. Yet, some of the distributions included a noticeable fractions of abnormally accelerated particles, thus presumably indicating development of rf
oscillations in the beam. Later, such oscillations were observed directly.
