Nanoscale Transparent Conductive Oxides via Microwave-assisted Polyol Synthesis

Hammarberg, Elin

Abstract:

In this work, a microwave-assisted polyol synthesis was developed, with which low-agglomerated suspensions of crystalline TCO (transparent conductive oxide) nanomaterials could be achieved. As-prepared ITO (indium tin oxide) turned out to be highly conductive. Doped ZnO, SnO2, and Zn-In-O were highly conductive after thermal treatment. Solid state NMR spectroscopy was applied to characterize ZnO:Al and SnO2:F. In addition, a phase transfer of synthesized indium nanoparticles was demonstrated.
