The lateral distribution of radio signals from cosmic ray air showers

This work deals with radio signals emitted by air showers in context of AERA, the Auger Engineering Radio Array at the Pierre Auger Observatory in Argentina. Several new analysis and reconstruction methods are presented, including a reconstruction of the complete E-field vector and comparisons of measured E-fields with state of the art radio simulations. Furthermore, a reconstruction of the cosmic ray energy based on the LDF of the radio signals is discussed.
