Hydrothermal synthesis of molybdenum based oxides for the application in catalysis

Abstract:

Hydrothermal synthesis was applied to prepare orthorhombic molybdenum oxides as well as mixed metal molybdenum oxides for the application in selective oxidation of propylene to acrolein and hydrotreating reactions. The influence of the synthesis parameters on the product properties such as particle size, particle shape or phase composition as well as their catalytic activity was studied in detail. Additionally, flame spray pyrolysis was applied for comparison.
