Novel vacuum pumping concepts for fusion power plants

Abstract: In this work, a novel vacuum pumping concept for future fusion power plants is being developed that shows strong advantages over all existing solutions. Starting with the concept development based on a purely theoretical process, the identified concept is being validated experimentally and a technical solution for its realization is finally being developed.
