Optimal Control-Enhanced Deconvolution of NMR Spectra: Homo- and Heteronuclear Decoupling

Reinsperger, Tony

Abstract (englisch):

The present thesis reports new approaches to increase sensitivity and resolution in high-resolution NMR spectroscopy via homo- and heteronuclear decoupling. First, a methodology to obtain a new class of self-compensating heteronuclear decoupling sequences by means of numerical optimizations based on optimal control algorithms is presented. Further, the pure shift methodology is applied to heteronuclear correlation experiments in order to measure heteronuclear one-bond couplings more accurately.
