Adaptation to drought in rice - Dissecting the role of Jasmonates for the response to drought in rice using a mutant approach

Abstract: The various adaptive responses of drought stressed plants are strongly influenced by chemical messengers called phytohormones, which help plants to regulate growth and development also in adverse conditions such as drought. Previously, it was shown that the rice mutant cpm2, impaired in Jasmonic Acid biosynthesis, was less sensitive to salt stress.
