Abstract:

In order to be able to test grid-forming control methods for converters for wind power plants not only simulatively but also experimentally, a laboratory-scale converter is presented. The converter was designed to be as close as possible to the converters installed in real wind power plants. A realtime PC-based control system allows a flexible implementation of simulatively developed control methods.
