Abstract (englisch):

The subject of this thesis is industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT). On the one hand, CT is characterized by flexible applicability. On the other hand, this flexibility leads to operating a device has so far been reserved for experts. The method developed in this thesis aims to systematically generate application knowledge and make it available to non-experts.
Problematic in the systematic generation and subsequent use of application knowledge is the number of potential factors that influence a CT measurement and hence need to be examined. In addition to the operation of the device, the workpieces under investigation also need to be considered. As a consequence, designing experiments is challenging because a compromise between meaningfulness and practical feasibility has to be determined.
In the literature, this problem is only indirectly addressed. That is, several user support approaches have been developed in the past based on experimental designs. However, these approaches only focus on partial aspects of the overall process for generating and subsequently using application knowledge, thus limiting their scope.
