Dieser Anhang stellt die Definition, die Struktur sowie eine exemplarische Anwendung von Nachhaltigkeits-Selbstexperimenten (Sustainability Self-Experiments, SSE) vor, einem transformativen Lehrformat, das am Karlsruher Transformationszentrum (KAT) des Karlsruher Instituts für Technologie (KIT) entwickelt und im Reallabor „Quartier Zukunft – Labor Stadt“ umgesetzt wurde. Abstract (englisch):

This appendix presents the definition, structure, and an exemplary application of Sustainability Self-Experiments (SSE), a transformative teaching format developed at the Karlsruher Transformation Center (KAT) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and implemented in the real-world laboratory “District Future – Urban Lab”. It further provides detailed insights into the findings of the qualitative content analysis, which examined the Sustainability Competencies acquired by students through these self-experiments.
It therefore provides in-depth insights into the analysis underlying the paper “Assessing competency development in transformative teaching – A real-world lab case study on Sustainability Self-Experiments”.

This appendix provides an overview of the data and in-depth results from the qualitative content analysis that examines which key competencies for sustainability transformations were fostered through Sustainability Self-Experiments conducted by students in the real-world laboratory “District Future – Urban Lab” between 2018 and 2022.
