Abstract:

Dieser Anhang gibt einen Überblick über Kompetenzen für Nachhaltigkeit (Key Competencies in Sustainability Transformation) und deren Definitionen. Darüber hinaus werden die einzelnen Kompetenzen für den Kontext der Nachhaltigkeit-Selbstexperimente (Sustainability Self-Experiments, SSE) operationalisiert. SSE stellen ein transformatives Lehrformat dar, das am Karlsruher Transformationszentrum (KAT) des Karlsruher Instituts für Technologie (KIT) entwickelt wurde.
Diese Kompetenzen bilden die analytische Grundlage der qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse, mit der im Beitrag „Assessing Competency Development in Transformative Teaching – A Real-World Lab Case Study on Sustainability Self-Experiments“ die Kompetenzentwicklung von Studierenden untersucht wird.

Abstract (englisch):

This appendix provides an overview of the key competencies in sustainability transformation, along with their definitions. Additionally, the individual competencies are operationalised for the context of Sustainability Self-Experiments (SSE). SSEs are a transformative teaching format developed at the Karlsruhe Transformation Centre (KAT) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). The competencies form the analytical basis of the qualitative content analysis employed in the article 'Assessing Competency Development in Transformative Teaching: A Real-World Lab Case Study on Sustainability Self-Experiments' to analyse student competency development.

Descriptions of Key competencies for sustainability transformations (KSC), which served as the analytical basis for the qualitative content analysis conducted in the paper 'Assessing Competency Development in Transformative Teaching: A Real-World Lab Case Study on Sustainability Self-Experiments' to. For each competency, a definition is first provided from the literature, and then the competency is contextualised for practical application in the analysis of student journals (operationalisation). Two visualisations are also provided to facilitate comprehension.

Illustrative examples and empirical quotations are provided in the related Supplement 2, “Sustainability Self-Experiments”.
