Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

In the context of global efforts to mitigate climate change, the electrification of the mobility sector plays a key role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Within electric drivetrains, the electric traction motor represents the central component, independent of the energy storage system used. Hairpin technology is an established manufacturing technology in the automotive industry and has proven effective for producing powerful and efficient traction motors. Instead of conventional coil windings made of insulated round wire, segmented hairpin coils made of solid flat wire are used, which are bent into a U-shape rather than wound. ... mehr
