Abstract (englisch):

Ihrer Arbeit in der Originalsprache: This thesis develops modeling approaches and structure-preserving discretization methods for highly flexible slender structures using the port-Hamiltonian framework. Geometrically exact beams and strings, nonlinear and viscoelastic materials, actuation, and constraints are formulated in a unified setting. Mixed finite elements and energy-consistent time integrators preserve power and momentum balances, improving robustness and accuracy for long-term simulation.
