Abstract:

Abstract (englisch):

Modern research increasingly depends on data from many sources, disciplines, and infrastructures. Yet in practice, data reuse is often slowed down by missing context, incompatible formats, and manual, project-specific integration work. The FAIR principles address this problem by providing guidelines for data and metadata that are findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable—not only for humans, but in ways that also enable automated processing by machines. FAIR Digital Objects (FDOs) are a concrete approach to putting these principles into practice by treating data as well-defined digital entities with persistent identifiers, structured metadata, and predictable interfaces. ... mehr
